Hi everybody! It’s us: This year’s Erasmus+-group in London. Having arrived safely at London Heathrow on Sunday morning, the teachers muddled through the strategic purchasing of the Oyster Cards. After that, 17 female and four male students as well as us two teachers took the notorious tube to our accommodations.
In the afternoon (threeish) we all met at Mile End tube station to find our way to the ECBM, the European College of Business and Management, the college to be for the week to come.
Without any problems, we made our way to the college in Great Eastern Street, where we took the first group photo.
As a city is best discovered on foot, we took the opportunity to get a first impression of this amazing and mind-blowing city by walking down to London Bridge, passing Spitalfields Market, Liverpool Street Station, Leadenhall Market, the Gherkin and the Walkie-Talkie, just to name a few. Standing on London Bridge, we had a great view on the most famous Tower Bridge as well as a glimpse of Borough Market.
Having been a tough day – getting up very early, using the tube and digesting all the new impressions – we took it easy that evening and just paid a fleeting visit to a pub.
The following morning we all met at the ECBM, where the students started their week at the college at 9:30 am. All students were and still are really excited about the tasks and impressions to come. So are we teachers. Stay tuned for more news from London!
